The Life of Mrs. Yulinda Starr Hinton 43

Mrs. Yulinda Hinton, 43 of 261 Farley Circle, Roanoke Rapids, NC passed Tuesday, May 1, 2012 in Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Yulinda was born August 15,1968 in Raleigh, NC to the late Joyce Hinton Stone and Herbert Lee Powell and was raised in Washington, DC.

She attended Washington, DC Public School System and worked in the restaurant business as a cashier. In 2008 she returned back to NC to live.

Linda was truly a shining STARR because she was always smiling and laughing. If you knew Linda you would never forget her, that girl was always calling sombody "DIRTY or BALDHEADED". She barely raised her voice but when she had something to say--you were going to listen! Linda loved her kids and grandkids like no other in this world.

Linda leaves to mourn: her husband: Vaugh G. Diggs: two children: Kristal Starr Hinton and the late Darian Michael; seven grandchildren; six step-grandchildren: a daughter-in-law: Menna Williams and one son-in-law: Sammy Bowman; two devoted step fathers: James T. Harris and Joseph Carr, Jr.; three sisters: Jewel L. Hinton, Monique S. Love and Tiffany Haris; one brother: Devin D. Smith; two brothers-in-law: Anthony E. Love and Allen Miller; two aunts: Dianna Gill and husband Gerad; four uncles; Jessie Garland, Richard Hinton, Dwayne and wife Valencia and Jerry Dunn and wife Charmaine; five nephews; three nieces; two great nephews; three great nieces; five special cousins; a god brother; one adopted sister; four adopted nieces; one special adopted daughter and granddaughter; a best friend; a host of cousins and friends; Lastly, she leaves a devoted and loving friend: James Pierce.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 1:00 pm in Coleman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev., Dr. Debra Judd of Raleigh, NC Officiating.

There will be a private immediate family viewing Friday, May 4, 2012 at 12:30 pm with a public viewing from 1 to 7 pm.
