The Life of Woodrow "Duke" Williams, Sr., 83

Mr. Woodrow W. "Duke" Williams, 83 of 307 Maple Street, Garysburg, NC expired Sunday, September 29, 2013 in his residence.

Duke was the son of the late Major & Helen Webb Williams. Born in Northampton County, NC.

He was married to the former Teretha Williams and to this union four children were born.

He leaves to cherish his fond memories, a wife: Teretha Williams of 56-years, his children: Roland Williams and wife Mable of Pleasant Hill, NC, Helen Lee and husband Melvin of Richmond, VA, Woodrow W. Williams, Jr. of the home, and Connie Silver and husband John of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his lovely grandchildren: Melvin T and wife Shannon of Richmond, VA, Sherise Lee of Richmond, VA, Derrick Williams and wife Tameka of Fort Mus, SC, Eric Williams of Raleigh, NC, Candice Silver of Rocky Mount, NC and Joshua Silver of Roanoke Rapids, NC; four-Great Grandchildren; one sister: Otelia Edmondson of Baltimore, MD; many other relatives, friends and church family.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m., Roanoke Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Jackson, NC. Rev., Dr. Franklin Williams, Jr. will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
His remains will repose at the church one hour prior to the service for viewing.

There will be a private immediate family viewing Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at 12:30 P.M. There will not be a public viewing at the funeral parlor.
