Funeral arrangements for Mr. Chamber who died Sat. in Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
Wilson Chamber was on of 10 children born December 4, 1928 in Northampton Co., NC to the late Charlie & Julie Shearin Chambers.
He worked with Weldon Roofing Company for many years until his retirement.
Wilson was educated in the Northampton Co. Public School System.
Wilson leaves to cherish his memories: a wife: Ethel Bell Dailey-Champtron of Hampton Wood Health & Rehabilitation Center, Jackson, NC, six-daughters: Pamela Gary-Kee and husband Earl, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Shairry Harvey, Weldon, NC, Martha Marie Coates and husband Jerome, Petersburg, VA, Betty Hudge (Michael), Garysburg, NC, Brenda Davis and husband Wilbar, Laurel MD, Valerie Renee Hudge (Tony), Garysburg, NC,; two-sons: James Ivey Deceased, and Michael Harvey, NYC, NY; one-stepson: Kenny Champtron and wife Tina, Garysburg, NC; 18-Grandchildren; 13-Great-Grandchildren; 2-Step-Grandchildren; two- sisters: Hattie Vincent, Garysburg, NC and Sally Daniel, Roanoke Rapids, NC; Three Sister preceded him in death; three-brothers: Charlie Chamber and wife Donna, Garysburg, NC, George Chamber, Garysburg, NC and Clifton Chamber and wife Jennie, Staten Island, NY, and one brother preceded him in death; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, In-Laws, cousins and life long friends.
Funeral will be held Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Evangelistic Church of Deliverance Chapel, Weldon, NC at 1:30 pm, Pastor Edith Ramsey will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Roanoke Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson, NC.
A viewing will be Friday, October 22nd from 1 to 7 pm in Coleman Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of his daughter Pamela Gary-Kee,23 Dickens Ave., Roanoke Rapids, NC.
