A private viewing will be held for immediate family only on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 12:30 PM at the funeral parlor, followed by a public viewing from 1 to 6 PM. There will not be visitation at the residence. The Best Family will receive family, relatives, co-workers and friends Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 5 to 8 PM at Coleman Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 12:00 O'Clock High Noon

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The call was made on Friday, October 11, 2019 in Duke Raleigh Hospital, Raleigh, NC for Mrs. Willie Pearl Buffaloe Best, 93 of Garysburg, NC to take her final flight for rest.
"Pearl" was born on August 8, 1926 to the late Willie Armster and Lillie Brown Buffaloe in Gumberry, NC.
She was a member of Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church where she attended until her health began to decline.
"Pearl" attended Northampton County Training School, Garysburg, N.C. and North Carolina College for Negroes, (now North Carolina Central University), Durham, N.C. She was a former commercial education teacher at Frink High School, LaGrange, North Carolina. Upon returning to Garysburg, she became the librarian at Garysburg Elementary School where she retired with 30 years of service.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Arthur Lee Best, Sr. and God blessed their union with seven children. One daughter, Theressa Monty Best, preceded her in death.
Cherished memories will remain with Sons: Arthur Best, Jr. and wife Shirley of Garysburg, NC, Willie A. Best of Chapel Hill, NC, and Alfred Best of Emporia, VA; Daughters: Cynthia "Ann" Barnes of the home, Brenda Yarborough of Durham, NC and Jennifer Tabron and husband Johnnie of Durham, NC; Nine Grandchildren: Teshena and husband William, Shandale, Donnell, Tamara, Christina, Adrian, Chloe, Christian, and Johnnie Jr.; Nine Great-grandchildren: Jamond, Charity, Isaiah, Ariyana, Shandale, Shanice, Lila, Brendon, and Melody; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.
