The Life and Legacy of Mr. William "Pipe Man" Henry Wooden, 86
Funeral will be Wednesday, October 11, 2017, 12:00 O'Clock High Noon, Coleman Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Ronald Owens will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow in the Daily Memorial Gardens, Gumberry, NC.
It was on the morning of Wednesday, October 4, 2017 around 9:23 a.m. that the death angel came for Mr. William H. Wooden, 86 of Gaston, NC to meet his Lord and Savior at his home in Gaston, NC.
William "Pipe Man" Henry Wooden was born on January 24, 1931 in Prince George, Virginia to the late Alice Banks.
"Pipe Man" was employed by Van Cleadon Trucking Company for over 30 years. He favorite hobby was cutting grass.
Those left to cherish his memories are: His wife: Geraldine Alice Wooden of Prince George, Virginia, Dolly Wooden of Hopewell, Virginia, Marie Sykes and husband Charles Sykes of Georgia, Queen Jones and husband Vernard of Waverly, Virginia, Jacqueline Wooden, William Henry Wooden, Jr., Henry Wooden, Robin Wooden and James Pettaway all of Hopewell, Virginia. Survivors also include thirty(30) grandchildren, fifteen(15) great-grandchildren, four (4) step-children, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; three Special Friends: Sheila and Sam High and Ronnie Ingram.
There will be a private viewing for immediate family ONLY, Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the funeral parlor, followed by a public viewing from 1 to 6 PM.
