A private viewing will be held Friday, May 22, 2026 at 3:00 pm at the funeral parlor for selective family members ONLY.

The family will meet at the church for the funeral.

Trina will repose at Faithful Band Missionary Baptist Church, Cornwallis Road, Pleasant Hill, NC Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 10:00 O'Clock AM for a public viewing, 

Funeral

Funeral Services will follow the viewing at 11:00 AM, Evangelist Bridgette Jenkins will deliver the eulogy.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Our beloved Trina Marie Barber, who departed this life on May 5, 2026, at the age of 37, surrounded by loved ones at Maria Parham Hospital, Henderson, NC. Born on August 21, 1988, in Queens, New York, Trina was a beacon of warmth and joy to all who knew her. Her life, though brief, daughter of Magnolia Barber and the late James McAllister. She was raised with a deep sense of family and community, values that she carried with her throughout life. 

She is preceded in death by her father:  James McAllister , her sisters:  Ayisha and LaToya Barber, her grandparents:  Wyomer Barber and Lonzy Barber Sr, and her beloved Aunt:  Juanita Barber.

Trina grew up in Queens, NY, where she attended P. S. 134Q Elementary School. She relocated to Henderson, NC where and attended Aycock Elementary School, Henderson Middle School and Southern Vance High School.

The heart of Trina’s world was her family. She is survived by her devoted partner:  Keyshawn McPhee of Bronx, NY, who was her constant companion, source of strength and the love of her life.

The family would like to extend special appreciation and heartfelt gratitude to her aunt:  Almond Barber , for the loving care, comfort, and support she provided during her final moments.

Her legacy of love and generosity lives on in Her surviving sisters:  Julia Barber of Winston Salem, NC,  Ebony Barber, Mignone Barber, Lakia Townes, Jennifer Barber and Cindy Singleton all of Fayetteville, NC;  Her brothers:  Dominick Singleton, Kevin SIngleton and Melvin Singleton all of Fayetteville, NC, as well as Michael Barber of Winston Salem, NC; Her nieces:  Aaliyah and Aamiyah Bryant  both of Henderson, NC who will always remember Her for her loving spirit , beautiful smile and the joy she bought  them;  Her aunts:  Almond Barber, Carolyn Skinner, Hazel Green all of New York and her aunt:  Jean Barber of Fayetteville, NC ; and her uncles:  James Green , Michael Barber both of New York and Lonzy Barber Jr of Henderson, NC. She shared a unique bond with each of them, offering her unwavering support and infectious smile.

Her close friends:  Latisha Alston, Shekeyria Harris, Shamarra Hall , Crystal Bagby; Her cousins along with countless others, will forever cherish the memories of Trina’s laughter and the light she brought into their lives. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family.

Though Trina may no longer walk beside us, her love memories and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.

Trina Marie Barber’s light may have dimmed but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
