The Life of Miss Tracie A. Land, 41

Miss Tracie April Land, 41 of 308 Faison Drive, Gaston, NC, was born to the late Martha Ann Mangrum-Land and Willie D. Brown on December 7, 1971. She departed her early life on December 2, 2013 at UNC-Hospitals in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Tracie was known for her loud laughs, her jokes, her loud music, her tardiness, and most importantly, her kind heart.

She was raised in Elizabeth, NJ. She received her education from the public schools of Union County, NJ.

She worked as a receptionist at the Dept. of Social Services in Union County, NJ and later at Dobbs Int. in Elizabeth, NJ. She relocated to Roanoke Rapids, NC in 1998 to pursue her career in nursing. She was also employed at Magnolia's Nursing Home in Pleasant Hill, NC. She later began working as a Home Health Aid.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories: her daughter, Ashley Garcia, granddaughter Selena Estrada; both of Gaston, NC
Two brothers: Edward A. Land of Richmond, VA. and Michael T.Johnson of Perth Amboy, NJ.; one sister Mary Jean Brown preceded her in death. Four nephews: LaQuan Land and Xaziver Land of Richmond, VA., Tyshon Johnson and Eliakim Johnson both of Perth Amboy, NJ; one niece, Kenya Land of Richmond, VA. She had a host of close friends and family and one very special loved and devoted friend, Larry Waugh.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 11:00 am in Gaston Missionary Baptist Church Santuary, 962 NC Hwy 46, Gaston, NC. The Pastor, Rev., Dr. Tony Flood will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the church cemetery and a time of fellowship immediately following in the church dining hall.

There will not be a viewing at the funeral parlor on Friday. A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
