The Life of Tony A. Martin,50

Tony Antonio Martin, 50 was born to the late Mabel Kidd Martin and the late Eugene Edward Martin on July 17, 1959. He departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, May 31, 2010 at 1:57 pm at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.

Tony joined Chapel Grove Baptist Church as a youth and was baptizd at a young age. He was educated by the Northampton County School System.

Having worked in the area for most of his adult life, he was loved by the community. Remembered for his laughter and love of fishing, Tony will be missed by all who knew him.

A sister: Beatrice Martin, preceded Tony in death. Those left to cherish his precious memories are his daughter: Keenan Branch and husband Michael of Roanoke Rapids, NC; Sisters: Carolyn Martin-Edmonds and husband Willie of Raleigh, NC, Tincye Martin-Edwards and husband Mandel of Durham, NC, Angeline Martin-Woodson and husband Ronald of Garner, NC; Brothers: Ricky Martin of Enfield, NC, Eric Martin of Weldon, NC and Billy Martin of Durham, NC; Grandchildren: Aumirikel Branch and Lilprinciya Branch both of Roanoke Rapids, NC; a beloved companion of many years: Omessia Arrington of Weldon, NC and her children: Hayward Taylor, Douglas Taylor and Samantha A. Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 5, 2010 at 11 am in the Chapel of Coleman Funeral Home, 776 Hwy 301 N., Garysburg, NC with Pastor Edith Ramsey Officiating. Burial will follow in the Daily Family Cemetery, Gumberry, NC.
