The life of Mr. Thomas Ashby Davis, 83
Mr. Thomas A. Davis, 83 of 142 Stonewall Dr., Roanoke Rapids, NC who died Friday, November 5, 2010 in his residence.
He was the son of the late Tom & Eliza Hawkins-Davis born June 2, 1927 in Halifax County, NC and drove trucks most of his life.
His survivors includes: a loving wife: Dossie Lee "Sister Faith" Cobb-Davis of the home; two sons: Willie Wilkins, Suffolk, VA and Lawrence Harrell, Richmond, VA, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one brother: Marshall Davis and wife Geraldine of Suffolk, VA, two brothers preceded in death: Charles Lee Davis and Melvin Davis; a sister who preceded him in death: Lucy Ann Elford; two sisters-in-law: Virginia Davis, Weldon, NC and Helen Davis, Suffolk, VA, many, many nieces, nephews other relatives cousins and friends.
Services will be held, Wednesday, November 9, 2010 at 1:00 pm in Coleman Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Edward Lee will Officiate and Bishop Carlton Davis will serve as Master-Of-Ceremony. Burial will follow in the Twlight Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Weldon, NC.
A viewing will be help Tuesday, November 9, 2010 from 1 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
