TERESA BROOKS WILLIAMS was born October 22, 1980 in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. She was one of six children born to the union of Phyllis Rainey and the late Melvin Brooks, who made their home in Garysburg, North Carolina.
Teresa often referred to as "Resa" and received her formal Education from the Northampton County Public School System. She was self-driven, hardworking, and creative. Teresa held various jobs throughout her life mostly in the industrial and construction field.
Teresa was influenced by her family to be a loving and caring woman, always giving her time to others and she incorporated that into her motherhood. Teresa truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures in life. During her free time she would express herself through drawing, writing, and cooking. Her work mostly focused on the challenges she faced in her daily life and nature. She always focused of the positivity in life, no matter her circumstances and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Teresa loved to watch cooking channels and experiments in the kitchen.
Teresa gave her life to the lord at Evangelistic Church of Deliverance in Weldon, North Carolina, under the leadership of the late Elder William H. Cheek. Her faith in God changed the way people around her viewed life for the better.
Teresa Brooks Williams departed this life March 9, 2023 in Warren Hills Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Warrenton, North Carolina, after a 10 year battle with cancer.
She leaves to mourn, Her Three Children: Jekyra L. Brooks of Greenville, NC, Tyrone M. Williams Jr. and Tyrell T. Williams both of Scotland Neck, NC; Her Mother: Phyllis Rainey-Brooks of Garysburg, NC, Two Sisters: Wanda Brooks of Rocky Mount, NC and Lonnie Bennet and husband Michael of Chicago, IL, Three Brothers: Ricky Brooks of Orange, VA, Derrick Buffaloe and wife ShaQuan of Clifton Heights, PA and Melvin Rainey and wife Averious of Atlanta, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, past coworkers and friends.
