The Life Mr. Taylor Tillery, 80
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Taylor Tillery,80 of 511 Barrow Mill Road, Jackson, NC who died Saturday, September 25, 2010 in Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
Taylor Tillery, Jr. was born October 23, 1929 in Northampton County, NC, the son of the late Sylvia Tillery. Predeceased in death his sister: Florence Tillery.
Taylor retired from Pruden's Office Supply Co. Inc., Roanoke Rapids, NC with thirty-nine years of service.
He was member of Boones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. He was a compassionate person and a devoted husband, father, and friend to all. Taylor was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife: Emily L. Mitchell-Tillery of the home, stepsons: Raymond Rascoe and wife Audrey of Trenton, NJ, Joe Wilson Rascoe and wife Lillian of Jackson, NC; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren and cousins.Four dedicated cousins: Otellia Edmonds, Mary Hines, Margaret Singleton and Mattie Williams all of Baltimore, MD. He leaves to mourn respectfully, a host of cousins and many friends.
Services will be held, Thursday, September 30, 2010, 1 pm, Boone Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Barrow Mill Rd., Jackson, NC, Rev., Dr. Carrol Dickens, Pastor/Officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A viewing will be held Wed., September 29, in Coleman Funeral Home Chapel from 1 to 7 pm. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the funeral.
