R onald Adrian Stringer , whom we affectionately called Ronnie, was born in Winter Garden, Florida on April 17, 1952.  He was the second son of eight children born to Bishop Willie Stringer and the late Mother Dorothy Mae Horton Stringer. He grew up in Meriden, Connecticut and attended John Berry Elementary School, Lincoln Middle School and Platt High School.

Ronnie was a general contractor who loved to make things look beautiful. He was a talented musician, singer and songwriter, who led the R & B Funk Band, Motor city, playing the electric guitar, bass and piano.  Ronnie also took great pleasure in golfing, and some would even say he lived on the golf course.  He was often the life of the party with his humor and sharp attire, and conducted himself with royal regards, teasing those around him by extending his hand and saying, "Kiss the ring."  But above these things, Ronnie loved his wife Joann and his family.  He was especially fond of his grandbabies and could never get enough of talking about them.

On Thursday, June 27, 2019, Ronnie transitioned from this material life to the fullness of life and wholeness with God, while in the care of the nursing staff at Wingate Nursing Home in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. He is now free from physical pain, suffering and illness.

He leaves behind a very large family to celebrate his life with love and memories. He is survived by His wife; Joann Peebles Stringer of Springfield, MA; Three Daughters; Miriam Paradis of Meriden, CT; Danielle Gray and Husband Nelson, Jr. of Piscataway, NJ,  JoLynn Darling of Middletown, CT; Two Sons; Quincy A. Soyini of Chesapeake, Virginia, Quan A. Soyini of Hartford, CT; Two Step-Sons: Erick L. Sykes of Springfield, MA and Rodney Sykes of Atlanta, GA; A host of Grandchildren; Four Brothers: Bishop Martin L. Stringer and wife Terry of Spring, TX, Bishop Terry A.
