The Life of Mr. Robert Cornelius Rawles, Sr., 59

Robert Corneluis Rawls, Sr., son of the late Clarence and Luclle Rascoe Rawls, was born April 18, 1957 in Jackson, North Carolina and departed from his earthly temple on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 in Medstar Southern Maryland Hospital, Clinton, Maryland.

He was the twelve of sixteen children. Larry, Clara, Coley, Randolph, John, Ella, Brenda and Clarence Jr. all preceded him in death.

Robert received his education from Northampton County Public School System. He worked for the Department of Energy, Washington, DC for many years.

His acceptance of Christ was at a very early age.

He was United In Holy Matrimony to Cynthia Salley and to this unon three children were born.

His survivors are: His Wife: Cynthia S. Rawls of the home; Three Children: Robert Jr. and wife Tameekya, Sean Rawls and Kimberly Rawls; Four Grandchildren: Nyla, Braylon, Kennedi and Savannah all of Maryland; Six Sisters: Shirley James and husband Steward of Capital Heights, MD, Katie Hendricks of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Mae B. Jones and husband Calvin of Garysburg, NC, Anna Rawls and Linda Tyler both of Jackson, NC, Carrie Johnson and husband Gregory of Roanoke Rapids, NC; One Brother: Alonzo Rawls and wife Patricia of Wilson, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, Other In-Laws, relatives, cousins and friends.

There will be a private viewing for immediate family only Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 12:30 PM at the funeral parlor and public viewing will be from 1 to 6.

Funeral Services will be Monday, April 10, 2017, 12:00 O'Clock High Noon, New Jerusalem Holiness Church, Hwy 186, Garysburg, NC, Minister Calvon Jones will be the eulogist. Burial will follow in the Rawls Memorial Cemetery, Jackson, NC.

Floral Attendants will be nieces and Pall Bearers will be nephews.
