The Life of ROBERT EARL HAWKINS, SR., 70

Robert Earl Hawkins Sr., widower of the late Mary Alice Hawkins and son the late James and Capaltor Dorothy Hawkins began his journey with life on January 19, 1948 in Warren County, North Carolina.

He obtained his formal education through the public schools of Warren County, North Carolina.

At an early age, he gave his life to Christ and joined Gaston Baptist Church, Gaston, North Carolina.

"Hawk", as he was affectionately and fondly called, was well known throughout the community and he was loved by everyone he came in contact with. He was a very loving person who would do whatever he could to help anyone. He always had a kind word of encouragement to give and could bring laughter into any situation.

Peacefully, he went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 26, 2017 in Gaston, North Carolina.

Siblings that are deceased are: James E. Hawkins, Willie Mae Hawkins-Brooks and Patricia Louise Hawkins.

Treasured memories will remain with his devoted Son: Robert E. Hawkins, Jr. of Roanoke Rapids, North, a Grandson: Robert E. Hawkins, III, Siblings: Mary E. H. Davis of Littleton, NC, Jerry Lee Hawkins of Littleton, NC, Mary Hawkins and husband Larry of Roanoke Rapids, NC, An Aunt: Dorothy Young of Newport News, VA, and one Uncle: Claude Hawkins or Roanoke Rapids, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017, 12:00 O'Clock High Noon, Gaston Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy 46, Gaston, NC, Evangelist Alice Jones Brown will deliver the Eulogy.

Floral Attendants will be Annie Lee Davis, Sharonna Alston, Senithia Zollicoffer, Shawniek Alston, Keisha Johnson and Angela Lee. Cremains Carrier will be Stephen Alston.
