The Life and Legacy of Mr. Robert "Bob" William Caldwell, Sr., 83
The call from labor to reward was made on Monday, August 14, 2017 for Mr. Robert William Caldwell, Sr., 83 in his residence 200 Delma Dr., Garysburg, NC. He was the son of the late Ralph Lamont Caldwell and Eva Mae Smith Caldwell born on October 6, 1933 in Grove City, Pennsylvania.
Robert was a US veteran of the Air Force; serving during the Korean War as a Military Police and later in Fire and Rescue. After serving in the military, Robert was employed at Cooper Bessemer in Grove City , Pennsylvania, retiring from Cooper Bessemer to start his own business in HVAC.
On Oct 14, 1953, Robert married Anna Mae Phipps in Barkeyville, Pennsylvania.
"Bob" was an avid car enthusiast. He was a hard worker, good neighbor...always helping his friends fix things. "Bob" was a private person, a charmer but he could be stubborn. He was a member of AMVETS.
"Bob" was preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph Lamont and Raymond Ambrose.
Those left to cherish "Bob's" memories are: Daughters: Diana K. Book and husband Richard, children: Don Rodgers and son David, Julie Kelliher and four children, and Jacob Rodgers and wife Adrienna with two children; Daughter: Sandra Koontz and children David and James; One son: Robert, Jr. and wife Sherry and children: Dylan and Nicole. Survivors also include one Brother: Norman Leroy of New Castle, Pennsylvania and a host of other family members and friends.
Final Rites will be held Saturday, September 2. 2017 in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
