RICHARD BENNETT, son of the late John and Virginia Bennett, was born on February 1, 1931 in Northampton County, NC. He peacefully departed this life on Tuesday March 13, 2012, at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA after a five year battle with Dimentia.

His hobbies included fishing and tending his garden. He was well known for having one of the best gardens in Northampton County and shared his harvest with many.

In addition to his parents and wife, he has now been rejoined with his siblings: Rosa Lee, Nannie, Robert, James, and Charlie. May you all rest in peace and have a blessed reunion.
