The Life of Mrs. Minnie Pecolia Gorham-Harrison, 83.
A devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, Cousin and Friend, Mrs. Minnie Pecolia Gorham-Harrison, 83 peacefully expired from this earthly life Saturday, July 9, 2011 in Retreat Doctors Hospital, Richmond, Virginia. Pecolia was born the daughter of the late Walter and Rosa Carey Gorham on Seoptember 20, 1927 in Northampton County, NC.
Pecolia received her education from the Northampton County Public System. Later in life she met and was united in Holy Matrimony to Johnny Harrison.
She was a long-time member of Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she joined at an early age. She is preceded in death by two sisters: Mary Elizabeth Ruffin and Eujolly Belfield.
She lives today and forever in the lives of her husband: Mr. Johnny Harrison, Sr. of the home; one son, Herculeigh, Sr. and wife, Gloria of Bertie County, NC; four stepchildren, Audrey and husband, Raymond, Jimmy, Rebecca and Alice; a god-daughter, Maxine and nephew, Robert and wife Betty; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and many, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, in-laws, cousins, friends and church family.
There will be a private viewing for the family from 12:30 til 1:00 in chapel of Coleman Funeral Home. Public viewing from 1:00 til 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Pecolia Gorham-Harrison will be Thursday, July 14, 20ll 1:00 p.m. at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Jackson, NC with Rev. Tumothy Edward, Pastor officiating. Interment in church cemetery.
