The Life of Mrs. Odessa Evans Logan, 69
On Friday, November 29, 2019 a viewing will be held in Richmond, VA at March Funeral Home 2110 E. Laburnum Ave. from 12:00 O'Clock High Noon until 8:00 PM.
A viewing for Odessa will be Saturday, November 30, 2019, from 12:00 O'Clock High Noon til 1:00 PM at
Chapel Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 307 East Railroad Street, Garysburg, NC where the funeral will be held at 1:00 O'Clock PM.
The Family will meet at the church to line-up for the funeral procession.

Odessa Evans Logan was born August 18, 1950 to the late Mabel Evans. She was reared in Northampton County, NC in a little town known as Garysburg, NC.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend that never gave up her belief in her heavenly Father. On Friday, November 22, 2019, surrounded by the love of her family. God called her home to the pearly gates and eased her burden of pain at the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, VA.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother: Estelle Holley Evans; four siblings: Betty Carter, Annie Evans, Lewis Evans and Mattie Manley.
She graduated from Gumberry High School and furthered her education at MCV School of Nursing, graduating May 1978. She began her career as an LPN at MCV Hospital, worked as a private duty nurse and was later employed at Rubicon Rehabilitation Center.
Odessa shared her loving example of friendship and kindness to all that she knew. She loved life and spending time cooking, traveling and dancing with her cousins and friends. Odessa was always willing to help anyone who was in need-day or night. She opened her heart and home selflessly to loved ones.
She meant so much to so many people. Odessa was indeed, very beautiful-inside and out. She was hard-working, inspiring and dependable. Odessa will always live in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her mother: Mabel Evans. Those left to cherish her memories are: A Loving Daughter: Barbara Evans; A Son: Pearlie Logan, Jr.; Grandchildren: KaShay Evans and Pearlie Logan III; Three Sisters: Mable Williams and husband Roland, Arnette Williams and Cleo Evans; Two Brothers: William Allen Evans and Arthur Lee Evans; Two Devoted Friends: Doris and Harry Key, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and beloved friends.
