Mrs. Nancy Loraine McNair was born May 5, 1945 in Gary, IN. She grew up in Benton Harbor, Michigan then she  traveled to Erlangen, Germany where she met her husband of 35 years, Chester McNair Sr.  They made Gaston, North Carolina her home in 1989.

Nancy was a very loving, devoted, and affectionate: wife, mother, and grandmother. She was always a happy and cheerful person and always put her family before herself.

Nancy studied business administration at Halifax Community College for 3 years. Worked as a nursing assistant then customer service for the last 12 years. She worked hard to provide for her family. She loved to laugh, paint her nails, go to the casino, try new restaurants, watch movies, and shop.

On November 27, 2018 she passed away peacefully at Vidant Medical Center after battling cancer.

She is survived by: Her Husband: Chester McNair of the home;  and Children: Allyson, Walter, Greg, Shannon, and Chester Jr.; Seventeen Grand children, Eleven Great-grand children, and One Great-Great grand child; A Mother-In-Law: Clara.

She is proceed in death by her daughter: Michelle Huettner; Sisters: Judy and Virginia; Brothers: Tommy Sr., Larry, Dennis, and Kenneth; Parents: Herbert Westley Clayton Adams and Virginia Craft.
