The Life of Mrs. Georgella Kee Walton, 74

"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."

A devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Sister-In-Law, Aunt, Cousin, Friend, Georgella Kee Walton, 74 was born February 23, 1937 in Northampton County, NC to the late Ruby Lee Faison and the late James Kee and peacefully expired to the land where joy and love is everywhere on Friday, September, 16, 2011 at the Northampton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Jackson, NC.

Georgella attended school in the Northampton County Public School System.

She met and was United In Holy Matrimony to the late Ezekiel Nathaniel Walton, Sr. on September 26, 1953 and to this union seven children were born.

At an early age, Georgella received Christ as her personal Savior and was renewed a new life in Christ for the redemption of her soul to be animously justified by faith. She was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Holiness Church and later join the Hills Chapel Baptist Church where she served on the Usher Board.

She worked tirelessly for years as a personal and home health care aide for several patients in the Halifax and Northampton County area. She truly served with pride and treated with compassion.

Georgella was proceeded in death by her siblings James Kee Sr. and Holland Lee Kee.


She leaves to cherish her memory: seven children, Martha Lee Mallory and husband Joseph of Newport News, VA and their three daughters, Marcie and husband Bahiyyudin, Nicole and Joanna; and grandson Aaron; Ezekiel Nathaniel Walton, Jr. and wife Diedrea of Richmond, VA and their two sons Ezekiel III and Isaiah; Mical Andrew Walton and wife Angelique of Rocky Mount, NC and their two sons Andrew and Matthew; Major Retired Melvin Donnell Walton, Sr. and wife Vickie of Chesapeake, VA and their son Melvin Jr.; Nathan Marcella Lee and husband Edward of Garysburg, NC and her two sons Earlie Jr. and Dontae; and grandson Jermione; Jacqueline Marie Walton of the home and her son Xavian, Marvin Leon Walton of Newark, NJ.; one sister, Ms. Clara Mae Shearin of Norfolk, VA; six Sister-In-Laws; Aery E. Lawson (the late Everett Lawson, Sr.) of Rio Rancho, NM, Beulah B. Walton of Garysburg, NC, Alvia Ruth Daly and husband George, of Atlanta, GA, Nancy Marie Jones and husband Marshall of Clinton, MD, Tonsa Adams Walton (the late Rev. Abraham I. Walton, Sr.) of Garysburg, NC, Lottie Mae Walton (the late Samuel Joshua Walton) of Willingboro, NJ; and several grandchildren-in-law nieces, nephews church family and friends.

A private family viewing will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at the Funeral Home. The public viewing will be from 1 to 7 p.m. The Family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the General Assembly of The Apostolic Faith of Giving Grace, Garysburg, NC. Bishop Geanie Perry will be officiating with Pastor John Greene serving as Master of Ceremony.

Burial will follow in the Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Garysburg, NC.
