The Life of Mrs. Margaret Louise Coleman Boone, 74

A private viewing for immediate family only, will be held Friday, June 28, 2019, 12:30 PM at the funeral parlor, followed by a public viewing from 1 to 6 PM.

Margaret will lie in state in the church one hour prior to the funeral.

Funeral Services: Saturday, June 29, 2019, 1:00 PM, Chapel Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Garysburg, NC

Rev. Gloria Harrell-Heller (niece) will deliver the eulogy.

Floral Attendants and Pall Bearers will be nieces and nephews.

Margaret Coleman Boone, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Eddie Vincent & Alease Avens Coleman, of Garysburg, North Carolina, began her life on November 4, 1944 in Garysburg, North Carolina.

She received her education through the Northampton County Public School System and was a 1963 graduate of Gumberry High School. Margaret was the the best dancer in her class and head majorette.

At an early age Margaret moved to New York and began her career as a telephone operator and was later promoted to supervisor at AT & T telephone company where she worked for 32 years, "formerly Bell South".

She was married to the late Michael Anthony Boone for 34 years.

Three sisters and five brothers, Sarah C. Stith, Catherine M. Coleman, Dorothy Coleman Harrell, Tyrone E. Coleman, William Henry Coleman, relatives reared as her siblings, Lawrence Williams, Lewis Williams, and William Lee Williams all preceded her in death.

Her sisters-in-laws who preceded her in death; Gola A. Coleman, Ailgeen Coleman, Retha C. Williams, and Carol Coleman.

At an early age Margaret was baptized and joined Chapel Grove Baptist Church and attended regularly until she moved to Bronx, New York in 1963.

Aunt Margaret as she was affectionally called by her nieces and nephews was a loving and kind person. She loved spending time with her family and cooking delicious meals.

Aunt Margaret peacefully went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, June 19, 2019 in the serenity of her home in Garysburg, North Carolina surrounded by her family.

Margaret is survived by her son: Michael Anthony Boone of Comstock, NY; her loving grandson: Michael Joseph Boone, Virginia Beach, VA; her sisters and brothers: Eddie Coleman of Pawling, NY, Shirley Coleman of Washington, DC; Thomas Coleman, of Pawling, NY, Quincy Coleman of Poughkeepsie, NY, Ralph Coleman and wife Dorothy of Halifax, NC, Ronnie Coleman and wife Roxie of Roanoke Rapids, NC , Willie "Butch" Williams, Juanita Drumgoole and husband Ernest, and James Williams and wife Loretta all of Rochester, NY.

Her devoted neighbor, Carol Hux, her friend for life, Pearl Holley and dear friend Katie Small of Bronx, NY. Aunt Margaret had her own personal cab drivers, her nieces, Shirley Lee, Vera, Sarah B., Gloria Dean, and their co-pilot Annie. She also took many road trips with her nephew-Tarry. A host of nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends who loved and respected Aunt Margaret dearly. We will always cherish her support and unconditional love she gave all of us. We all loved you but God Loves you best. Rest in peace.
