The Life of Malinda Kaye Robinson Yallorday Barnes, 48
Malinda Kaye Robinson Yellorday Barnes was born on June 4, 1966 in Halifax County, NC to Rosa Malinda Robinson. She peacefully departed this life on Thursday, January 22, 2015 to go to her enternal home.
She received her education from Northampton County Public Schools, graduating from Northampton County High School-West in 1984 and received a Child Care Diploma from Halifax Community College in 1986.
Early in life she attended Roanoke Salem Baptist Church and later joined Lighthouse of Deliverance Church of Christ, where she remained a faithful member until her health prevented her attendance.
She was a hard and dedicated worker and began working with the Community Development Corporation in Roanoke Rapids, NC until becoming employed as a Correctional Officer for Greensville Correctional Center, Jarrett, VA and Caledonia Correctional Institution until her illness.
"Kaye" as she was affectionately called was dedicated and loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Those who knew her knew she loved to cook, watch the shopping channels and taking care of her dogs.
Malinda's duty here on earth is complete and she is reunited with those who preceded her in death: Brothers: Anthony Robinson, Eddie Hewitt, Jr. and Uncle: Wiley Robinson. May you all rest in peace and have a blessed union.
Those left to cherish her fond memories and love are: Her Husband: Perry Barnes, Seaboard, NC; Her Sons: Alton Yellorday and Rashard Barnes both of the home; A Mother: Rosa Malinda Robinson-Hewitt of Garysburg, NC; Her Grandmother: Mrs. Rosa Robinson, Garysburg, NC; One Brother: Kenji Hewitt, Garysburg, NC A Devoted Friend: James Seaborn; Two Nephews: Kamarji Hewitt and Kawhan Barber; Two Nieces: Nevaeh Harns and Kenajah Hewitt; An Uncle: Johnnie Robertson, Jackson, NC; One Great Aunt: India Parker, Garysburg, NC; Aunt-In-Law: Mary Boone; Her Very Close Friends: LaToya Smallwood, Kiva Moody, Cynthia Brooks, Clara James and Ellis C. McGee; A Close Cousin: Tawanda Parker-Ponton; A host of Brothers and Sisters-In-Law, other ralatives cousins, church family and friends; She found pleasure in playing an active and motherly role in the lives of Keeshada Deloatch, Senetria Price, Ke'swanna Mitchell, Germani Swilling, and Kiara Stewart. She loved the treated them as the daughter she never had.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Malinda Kaye Robinson Yellorday Barnes, 48 of Garysburg, NC, will be held, Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 1:00 In The Afternoon at Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Garysburg, NC. Elder James Easter, Asst. Pastor of Light House of Deliverance Church, Lincoln Heights Area of Roanoke Rapids, NC will Officiate. Rev. Robert Sessoms is Pastor of Roanoke Salem.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
A private immediate Family viewing will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the funeral parlor at 12:30 In The Afternoon, with a public viewing from 1:00 to 7:30 PM. The family and her co-workers from the Greenville Correctional Center and Caladonia will be present from 6:00 to 7:30 PM.
