The Life of Missionary Macie Squire-Price, 94
Missionary Macie Squire-Price, 94, daughter of the late Blake and Daisy Short Squire was born on March 2, 1921 in Northampton County, North Carolina. The Lord called his Angel home, on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 4:26 AM at her home in Gaston, NC.
Missionary Price attended school in Northampton County, NC.
She was a hard worker and worked in Roanoke Rapids, NC for many, many years doing domestic work.
In 1960 she joined New Jerusalem Holiness Church, Garysburg, NC under the Leadership of the late Mother Lillie Perry Williams and remained faithful until the end. Mrs. Price loved the Lord. Her favorite words were, "I'm still holding on."
Missionary Price was married to the late Wiley Price and was the Mother of 16 children, of which four preceded her in death.
Those left to cherish her fond memories are: Five loving Daughters: Minnie Price, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Dora Price, Richmond, VA, Odell Johnson, Mary Snow and husband John, Gladys Gray and fiance Robert Hawkins all of Gaston, NC; Seven Sons: Amos and Fiance Sandra, Terry and wife Connie, Raymond, Dennis and wife Dee all of Gaston, NC, Edward of Pleasant Hill, NC, Wallace, Sherman and wife Faye all of Richmond, VA; A Special Son: Kevin Williams; 42-Grandchildren; a devoted granddaughter: Evangelist Tammy Mills; 72 Great Grandchildren and 31-Great-Great Grandchildren; One faithful Son-In-Law: John Snow; A Sister: Sarah Lawson and husband Calvin of Baltimore, MD, One Sister-In-Law; A Brother-In-Law: James Goins of Pleasant Hill, NC and a host of many, many, many nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 12:00 High Noon on Monday, May 18, 2015 at New Jerusalem Holiness Church of the Apostolic Faith of Giving Grace, Hwy 186, Garysburg, NC. Eldress Alice Jones-Brown will Officiate and burial will take place in Lily's Chapel Cemetery, Garysburg, NC.
There will be a private immediate family viewing Mother's Day Sunday, May 17, 2015 at 12:30 PM at the funeral parlor. A public viewing will follow from 1 to 6 PM.
The funeral cortege will depart from her residence at 11:00 AM on Monday, headed for the church.
