The Life of Ms. Lula Walker Darden, 90

The death angel came to Rich Square Manor to make a call for Lula Walker Darden, 93 on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 to receive her just reward. Lula was a long time residence of Northampton County, NC.

Lula was born on August 10, 1926 in Northampton County, NC to the late Pat Jr. and Johanah Ellison Walker.

Lula was a self educated lady that worked hard in the cotton fields.

Later in life she met and married the late Fred Darden.

Lula brought five children into this world: One Daughter: Esther Mae Boone and husband the late Whalon Boone of Jackson, NC; Four Sons: Daniel Walker and wife OK of Alexandria, VA, Lewis Alston and wife Vanessa of Philadelphia, PA, Johnnie Walker of Greenville, NC and Matt Walker who preceded her in death, a host of grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, Uncles, cousins, nieces and friends.

There will be a private immediate Family viewing on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 12:30 PM at the funeral parlor. A public viewing will follow from 1 to 6 PM.

Floral Attendant will be: Yvonne Banks, Bettie Boone, Chassie Lassiter and Xena Boone. Pall Bearers will be: Collie Rogers, Purnell Watson, William Garner, Mritt Britton and Tayshawn Boone.

Funeral Will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017, 12:00 O'Clock High Noon, Boone's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Barrow Mill Road, Jackson, NC 27845. Rev., Dr. Carrol Dickens, Eulogist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Floral Attendants and Pall Bearers will be nieces and nephews.
