Great was her faithfulness, came to an end, on the early morning of Friday, August 27, 2021, at Select Speciality Hospital-Durham, NC, for Lucinda McGee-Squire of Garysburg, NC.

Proceeding her in death are: Her parents Marie Clanton McGee and Author Robinson; Lil bit as we called her, was born on  August 1, 1955 in Jackson NC. At an early age her mother moved to Garysburg, NC.
Lil Bit graduated from Gumberry High School in the Class of 1973.  Her passion was cooking and it was the joy of her life. She loved to see people enjoy eating her food and was famous for making her BBQ and Jelly Cakes.  People would call her at any time just to request a jelly cake, and without hesitation she would start baking.  Lil bit spent most of her time at her job where she was the lead cook, it warmed her heart to be there. Even when she did not have to work, she did it because she enjoyed it.  Her joy in life besides cooking were her children and her grand children.  She would often say "I do what I do for my babies". Monday's was her day of relaxation. On that day she would set aside to talk on the phone. She started with sisters and cousins, ended with her daughters in Love and her daughter. They would talk for hours.
Lil Bit was a member of Evangelistic Church of Deliverance, Weldon NC.   Because of work, she wasn't able to attend like she wanted too. She was a faithful member and gave her life to Christ, now she has left this earthly life peacefully.
Lil Bit leaves to cherish her memories forever:  Her loving Children: A Daughter- Dr. Tonya McGee of Durham NC: Maurice McGee and  wife Cynthia of Chesapeake VA;  and Jeris Squrie and wife Bonita of Shelby, NC; Grand children: Malcolm, Jadari, Tony, Treylen, Keylin, Destinee and Landon.  These babies were her heart.
Lil bit loved Her Sisters and Brothers. There was nothing she would not do for them, even if she fussed before she did it.  Proceeding Her in death are: Her brothers: James Edward McGee, Lannie Clanton and Jack Clanton, Sisters: Lottie Mae Clanton and  Laura Scott-Moore.
She leaves to remembe:r Her Sisters: Evang. Evelyn S. McGee, Cary NC; Martha Coates and husband Jerome of Garysburg, NC, Cathy Washington and husband Steven of Garysburg, NC, and  Leola Stevenson of Jackson, NC, Linell Clanton-Lee of Charlotte, NC (our mother helped raised her with us); Her brothers:  Linwood McGee,  Milton, NC;   Ellis C. McGee, Garysburg, NC; Freddie L. McGee, Danville, VA, and William McGee and wife Nicole, of Greensboro NC.
There are so many nieces and nephews that will truly miss her. Too many to name but they were all special to her.
