The Life of Mrs. Lucille "Ceil" Pierce King, 60
This is to certify that Lucille Pierce King, 60, was born on February 5, 1951 in Halifax County, NC, when she became one of eleven children born to the parentage of the late William Jasper and Betsy Wade Pierce.
Lucille departed this earthly life Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC around 3:30 pm.
Her education was received from Halifax County Public School System. Lucille worked for J.P. Stevens from many years as a factory worker and was United In Holy Matrimony to the late James Edward King.
She was devoted and caring sister and aunt: she will be truly missed and forever cherished for the love she gave to everyone. Peacefully, she went home with the Lord to eternity.
In addition to her mother and father, also preceding her death are seven brothers: Elliot, Andrew, Billy, William, Prince, Robert, and Melvin....may you all rest in peace and have a blessed reunion.
Her precious memories will forever linger on in the hearts of her siblings: Cozy McKoy and devoted friend, Glenn of the home, James Pierce of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Gene Pierce of Detroit, Michinan; seven Sisters-In-Law and one Brother-IN-Law, and a host of many, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, other IN-Laws, cousins, and church family.
A private viewing will be held Saturday Saturday, July 16, 2011 and a public viewing from 1 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 17, 2011 at 2:30 pm at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Halifax, NC with Rev. Willie Peterson, Officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
