The Life of Lucille Kee Peebles Williams, 87
Mother Pattie L. Kee Williams, the daughter of Gonzloe and Katie Kee was born January 23, 1925 in Northampton County, NC, departed this life Thursday, April 5, 2012 in Highpointe Rehabilitation Center, Buffalo, NY.
Mrs. Williams joined St. John Baptist Church, Garysburg, NC at an early age, where she served as a faithful member. She was educated in the Northampton County Training School, Garysburg, NC.
She moved to Buffalo, NY in her later years where she became affiliated and baptized in the Church of God In Christ and served as a mother at Upper Room Church of God In Christ for many years.
On July 25, 2011, her faith in Christ strengthened her beliefs to become a member of the "Greater Upper Room COGIC". It was August 21. 2011, that she was appointed to serve as Mother and Vice President of the Mother's Board. There, is where she served faithfully in her final days.
Mrs. Williams received a certificate in nursing aide and served for thirty five years until she retired from Greenfield Nursing Home, Lancaster, NY.
Mother Williams served as a volunteer for many years for the food pantry at Upper Room Church of God In Christ.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories; three sons: Alexander Peebles and wife Evelyn, Garysburg, NC, Eddie Peebles and wife Mary, Garysburg, NC, and Edward Williams and wife Elsie, Buffalo, NY; three daughters: Malinda Coleman and husband Rev. James, Garysburg, NC, Maxine Moody and husband Charles, Buffalo, NY, and Ann Stephenson and husband Benjamin (deceased), Largo, MD; one step-daughter: Shirley Grayson, Washington, DC; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter, two brothers: Romie Kee, Wichita, KS, William Kee and wife Pearline, Roanoke Rapids, NC,and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, cousins and friends and church families.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Jr., Jimmy, Sylvia, Thelma and Floyd.
Mother Williams will lie instate at the church one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 12:00 High Noon, Saint John Missionary Baptist Church, 987 St. John Church Road, Garsburg, NC,Rev. W. R. Burston will officiate.
Burial will following in the church cemetery.
