The Life of Lorenzo Tann, 23

This is to certify that LORENZO "Lil Duke" TANN, Jr., 23 was born the son of Stephanie Moore and Lorenzo Tann. He was born March 12, 1988 in Halifax County, NC and departed his life on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Lorenzo received his education from the Halifax County School System, graduating from Weldon High School and earned a Certificate of Welding from Halifax Community College.

His hobbies were bowling and basketball.

Lorenzo is preceded in death by one son: Laviyus Shoulders, his maternal grandparents: Raymond and Ethel Moore; four uncles: Eddie Jones, Leander Moore, Glenn Moore and Eddie Mason; two aunts: Linda and Ruth Moore.

He leaves, not to mourn but to cherish his fondest memories: his children: Briana Walker, Raleigh, NC, Lazarus Bell and Ja'kiya Arrington both of Weldon, NC, Makayla Champion, NY, Mykiah Mason, La"ariah Sykes and Jahtavious Pierce all of Roanoke Rapids, NC; his father: Lorenzo Tann, Jackson, NC and his mother: Stephanie Moore of the home; two sisters: Shantal Moore of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Octavia Moore of Weldon, NC; a brother: Kayloon Branch, Weldon, NC; his paternal grandparents: Eddie and Norella Mason of Jackson, NC; six uncles: Leroy Mason and James and his wife Mattie all of Jackson, NC; George Moore, Newark, NJ, Leon Moore, Seaboard, NC, Stephen Moore of Baltimore, MD, and Raymond Moore, Pasadena, CA; six aunts: Patrica Mason of Jackson, NC, Levoria Moore, Seaboard, NC, LeNoria Moore of Seaboard, NC, LeNoria Moore and husband George of Baltimore, MD, LeDoria Moore of Greenville, NC, Patricia Branch of Weldon, NC and Eulialia Jones-Stiles of Portsmouth, VA, one great-uncle: Wilford Simmons or Garysburg, NC; a great-aunt: Dorothy Mae Moore of Hartford, CT, one niece: Kamia Moore, and one nephew: Rashawn Epps and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral Services for Mr. Lorenzo "Lil Duke" Tann, 23 of 150 NC Hwy 125, Apt. #205, Roanoke Rapids, NC, who died Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC-will be held Thursday, September 29, 2011, 1:00 pm at Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Jackson,NC.

Burial will follow in the Hill Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson, NC.

Pastor Timothy Edwards will be officiating.

A private viewing will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at 12:30 pm at Coleman Funeral Home, and a public viewing will began Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 1 to 7 pm at the funeral home.
