The Life Of Mother Lessie Rene Harvey, 77

There will not be a viewing at the funeral parlor.

Mother Harvey will repose in church one hour before the funeral for viewing, funeral will be Saturday, November 6, 2021, 1:00 O'Clock In The Afternoon, New Jerusalem Holiness Church, Hwy 186 Garysburg, NC, Alice J. Brown, pastor will officiate.

A devoted mother, grandmother, Sister and Aunt: Mother Lessie Rene Harvey, 77 was Born June 12, 1944 in Halifax, NC to the late Jessie & Bettie P. Harvey. Mother Harvey peacefully departed this life to her eternal home Wednesday, October 27, 2021.

Mother Harvey received her education from the Halifax County Public School System. She held employment as a custodian and working diligently for area churches for many years. After years of working for others, she devoted her time to taking care of her mother the late Bettie P. Harvey in her home.

In her early 30's Mother Harvey received Christ as her personal savior and was renewed a new life in Christ for the redemption of her soul to be animously justified by faith. She received this new birth in her soul like the bible says! She was saved, sanctified and Holy Ghost filled under the leadership of the late Mother Lillie P. Williams.

Mother Harvey was a faithful member of New Jerusalem Holiness Church, where she was one of the late Mother Lillie P. Williams original saints. Mother Harvey remained a faithful member of New Jerusalem under the leadership of Pastor Alice Jones-Brown until her demise.

Mother Harvey will be remembered for her love for people. She loved conversating, and her loving personality allowed her the opportunity to connect and befriend many people she met.

She is proceeded in death by her parents: Betty P. Harvey and Jessie Harvey; her son: Ronnie L. Harvey Sr.; her siblings: Minister Alverta Knight, Elroy Pierce, Mary Harvey and Lillie Harvey Norfleet.

She lives today and forever in the lives of her grandchildren: LaShonda Richardson and husband Charles of Wendell, NC, Karen Harvey of Rocky Mount, NC, Ronnie Harvey Jr. of Wilmington, NC, Derrick Harvey of Roanoke Rapids, NC, and Eric Harvey and wife Shonveal of Garner, NC.

Her great-grandchildren: KeMya Whitley, Nevaeh Harvey, Maleah Harvey, KeMarion Harvey, KeNijiah Harvey, Kailyn Harvey, Michael Dasher and Bryson Harvey.

Her great-great grandchild: Kaiden Brown. A daughter in-law: Wanda Harvey of Rocky Mount, NC; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, cousins, friends, and church family.

If flowers grow in heaven,
Lord, then pick a bunch for me.
Then place them in my grandmother's arms
and tell her they're from me.
Tell her that I love and miss her
and when she turns to smile,
place a kiss upon her cheek and hold her for awhile.
