The Life of Mr. Snow, 81

Mr. Larry "Mr. Snow" Harrell, 81 of 306 Maple Street, Garysburg, NC expired Friday, February 1, 2013 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Larry Leven Harrell, son of the late William James and Rosetta Harrell, of Garysburg, NC, began his life on April 3, 1931 in Rich Square, NC.

He received his education through the Northampton County Public School System.

He was a former employee of National Screen Company, Suffolk, VA for 35-years. Mr. Harrell traveled to Suffolk every Sunday evening, to return to work for the week, after eating his delicious meal cooked by his wife, Dorothy Coleman Harrell, who preceded him in death. "Mr. Snow" as he was called by many in the community had a passion for cars and served as a personal taxi driver for many in Garysburg and the surrounding area.

In addition to his wife, one daughter, Brenda C. Carroll, two sisters and three brothers: Josephine Harrell, Ora Faison, James, Willie, and Cleven "Big Bud" Harrell (his twin), all preceded him in death.

Those left to cherish his memories are his children: Archie Coleman and wife Debra of Garysburg, NC, Sandra Ussery and husband Robert of Garysburg, NC, Sarah Bell and husband Roy of Garysburg, NC, Shirley Best and husband Arthur of Garysburg, NC, Leven Harrell, Jr. and wife Paula of Weldon, NC, Gloria H. Thibodeaux of Garysburg, NC, Tarry B. Harrell of Philadelphia, PA and Marquis Gerade Harrell of Clayton, NC, One Son-In-Law: Alan Carroll; 18-Grandchildren; 34-Great-Grandchildren; 4-Great-Great-Granchildren; One sister: Rosa Grant of Garysburg, NC and Two brothers: Bonklin "Knott" Harrell of Garysburg, NC and John "Candy" Harrell of Paterson, NJ; His Sisters-In-Law and Brothers-In-Law: Rosa Lee Harrell, Eddie Coleman, Shirley Coleman; Thomas Coleman, Margaret C. Boone, Quincy Coleman, Ralph Coleman, Ronnie Coleman, Willie "Butch" Williams, Juanita Drumgoole, and James Williams; a devoted friend Edna Roberts of Garysburg, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, other In-Laws, community friends, other relatives and cousins.

Funeral Services for Mr. Snow, will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2013, 3:00 pm at Chapel Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Garysburg, NC. The Pastor Rev. Elbert Lee will officate and burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Harrell will lie in state at the church 2-hours prior to the service on Wednesday, February 6, 2013.

There will be a private immediate family viewing Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. A public viewing will be from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

The Family of Mr. Snow will receive relatives and friends at the home of his daughter, Min. Gloria Harrell-Thibodeaux at 108 Collier St., Garysburg, NC.
