Obituary

The Life of Mr. Johnnie Melvin Scott, 60

There will be no viewing, only on the day of the funeral. His remains will be on view on the funeral home front lawn from 12:00 High Noon until the time of the funeral.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 8, 2021, 1:00 In The Afternoon, Coleman-McGee Funeral Home Front Lawn, Garysburg, NC, Elder Ronnie Perry will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in the Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church Cementery, Garysburg, NC.

Due to COVID-19, a facial covering or mask will be required to attend the funeral services and social distancing will be enforced.

It was in the early morning of Sunday, May 2, 2021, that the angel of God called our beloved  Mr. Johnnie Melvin Scott,

60, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Garysburg, NC, to enternal rest in Tower Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Raleigh, NC.

He was born April 4,

1961 to the late John Dee & Thelma Lee Scott in Jackson, North Carolina.

Johnnie attended Gumberry High School and worked at Halifax Linen for approximately 10 years.

He enjoyed being around family, eating watermelon, and just sitting on the porch enjoying whoever

stopped by.

Those left to cherish his memories are; His Children: Rapheal Clements and wife Swanetter and Tyon

Clements and wife Shonta of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Moncrinique Clements, JaQuel Clements both of

Weldon, NC, Jasmane Clements of Roanoke Rapids, NC; four amazing grandchildren: O'Briya, Nikko,

My'Jay, Ja'Miya; Six Brothers: Rainey Bell of Gaston, NC, Marvin Scott, Sammy Scott, all of Garysburg,

NC and David Scott and wife Eva of Pleasant Hill, NC, Elder Ronnie Perry and wife Barbara of Roanoke

Rapids, NC and Donnie Perry of Indiana; Four Sisters: Odessa Hardy of Gaston, NC, Narcissus Bell

Clements of Roanoke Rapids, NC, Juanita Green and husband Willis of Garysburg, NC, and Joyce Scott of

Garysburg, NC; One Uncle: Mason Lee Shearin Sr. of Garysburg, NC, Several Great Aunts and Uncles, and a host of

nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
