Mr. John Alexandria "June bug" McDaniel was born on June 22, 1956 in Halifax County and departed this life on Friday, March 22, 2019 in his home, Newton, New Jersey surrounded by his loved ones.

John attended Weldon City Schools.

John attended many churches before becoming a member of The Evangelistic Church of Deliverance, Weldon, NC under the leadership of the late Bishop William H. Cheek, Sr. and wife Lucille.  The church was located at the time in the old Western Auto building where John was the first drummer for the church and the original Youth Choir and United Voices Choirs.

J ohn's favorite football team was the New England Patriots.  His hobbies included fishing, traveling, meeting new friends, scrapping and working on automobiles. He loved animals and would often say  "you could trust animals better than you could trust humans".  He loved elderly people and would always try to accommodate their needs as best he could.

John is preceded in death by his Mother: Missionary & Mother  Susie (Sue Mc) McDaniel and his sister:  Almatine McDaniel Johnson.

John leaves to carry on his Legacy:  Six Children:  Maria Kimbell of Bowie, MD., John A. McDaniel, Jr. of FL., Brittney McKlin and John J. McDaniel both of Newton, NJ, Breann Mcklin of Boonton, NJ, and Gabriel McDaniel of Newark, NJ; Five Grandchildren; A very special Friend and Caregiver: Alice McKlin of Newton, NJ.  Survivors also include: His Siblings:  Esther Taylor of Manhattan, NY, George McDaniel, Jr. and wife Shirley of Washington, DC, Cynthia McDaniel-Anders and husband Ernest of Bronx, NY, and Sheila Scott and husband Willie"Buck" of Roanoke Rapids, NC; A godbrother:  Ellis C. McGee of Garysburg, NC; Two Aunts:  Mattie Rainey of Garysburg, NC and Ruby Barret and husband Johnnie of Richmond, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins church family and many, many friends.

John touched the lives of many people and He showed LOVE to everyone he met in many different ways.  We will shed many tears in the years to come and we will NEVER forget how you bonded differently with each of us according to our needs.
