A meet and greet gathering for Mr. James Warren Kee, Sr. will be held Saturday, September 13, 2025, 11:00 to 11:30 AM, St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Garysburg, NC
At 11:30 AM, a Memorial Services will be held following the meet and greet, Rev. Roosevelt Askew will be the eulogist.
James Warren Kee, Sr of Garysburg, North Carolina, a loving Father, Grand Father, Great-Grandfather, Brother, Brother-In-Law, Uncle, and Friend entered eternal life on September 5, 2025 in Greensboro, NC
On June 3, 1936, an angel, James Warren Kee Sr., was born to the late Lonnie and Mabel Kee in Northampton County, North Carolina. He was one of nine children, a member of Saint John Baptist Church, Garysburg, NC and attended Northampton County Public Schools System, Northampton County, NC.
James was known for his strong work ethic and his dedication to helping others. He loved farming and worked on the family farm for many years and later worked at the Weldon Veneer Company, Weldon, NC until its closure.
He was married to the late Mary Liza Perkins Kee for 53 years and this union was blessed with two children.
He leaves to cherish his memories His Daughter: Ella Mae Spratley of Newport News, VA; Son: James Warren Kee Jr. and wife Talma of Greensboro, NC; a special Niece: Wanda Troxler of Greensboro, NC; Three Sisters: Helen Faye Alston and husband James, Evelyn Christine Moody and husband Jance, and Eunice Evonne Moody and husband David all of Roanoke Rapids, NC; a Brother: Rufus Winford Kee and Barbara of Garysburg, NC; Six Grandchildren: Kim Jacobs, Talnesha Kee, and Javon Jackson all of Charlotte, NC, Royal Mitchell and wife Jacci of Chicago, IL, Felica Spratley and husband Brehon and James Edwards and Diana all of Richmond, VA. He also leaves Nineteen Great-Grandchildren: Frankie, Ivan, the late heavenly Gabriel, Jeremiah, Jayla, Janai, Suniah, Jahzara, Jahtye, Jahsiah, Benji, Noah, Cameron, Bryant, McKinley, Kaysie, James, Allison, Royal Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
