The Life of Mr. Henry Hardy,77

Mr. Henry Wilson Hardy of Garysburg, North Carolina was born on January 16,1939 in Occoneechee Township, Northampton County, North Carolina. He was the first of 12 children born to the late Wilson Henry Hardy and Rebecca Ann Sweat Hardy. He slipped into eternity with his heavenly Father peacefully on September 21, 2016 in his home.

Henry was the loving husband of Hazel Hilton Hardy, who led the way for his family in showing them that death has no sting and the grave is not the master. Henry and Hazel enjoyed 48 years of wedded bliss.

He leaves to survive, cherish his memory, carry on his legacy and flourish from his love and guidance his wife Hazel Hilton Hardy. Children: Bryant McDaniel and wife Jean, of Richmond, VA., Doris Carey and husband Darrell of Raleigh, N.C; Tammy Marie Reynolds and husband Raymond of Queens, N.Y; Henry J. Hardy and wife Pamela of Knightdale, N.C. and LaKasha Cherrae Hardy of Roanoke Rapids, N.C. Eleven siblings: Lynn Hardy and Rebecca Lucille Hardy of Brooklyn, N.Y.; Margaret Taylor of Toronto, Canada; Joe Hardy and wife Gloria and Richard Hardy (Sarah Thomas) of Patterson, N.J.; Emily Wesley (Frank) of Harrisburg, PA; Dorothy Scott and husband Michael of Weldon, N.C., Dr. James Hardy and wife Felecia of Raleigh, N.C.; Paul Hardy and wife Debra of Akron, Ohio; Audrey Hardy and Melinda Hardy of Roanoke Rapids, NC. An Aunt: Sarah Sweatt Johnson and husband Andrew Mack of Jackson, N.C.; Two Sisters-In-Law: Blondell Rogers and Carolyn Davis both of Roanoke Rapids, NC., In addition, he leaves 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.

There will be a private immediate family viewing 12:30 PM at the funeral parlor with a public viewing from 1 to 6 PM.

Floral Attendants and Pall Bearers will be nieces and nephews.
