The Life of Mr. Henry "Sonny" Dorn, Jr., 65

Henry Lincoln Dorn, Jr., 65 known to everyone as "Sonny" was the son of the late Henry L. Dorn, Sr. and the late Jollie Dorn. He was born on April 5, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA.  and entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at his home.

Sonny was raised by his mom Ila J. Dorn from the age of six years following the death of his birth mother Jollie.

Sonny was educated in the Philadelphia Public School System followed by Job Corp.  He had a passion for dogs, cars, and fashion.  He especially loved shoes and dress hats.  Listening to music, dancing and being among friends brought him joy.  He especially liked listening to the Oldies and watching Old Western TV shows.

Sonny dreamed of moving down South and had planned to do so until he became ill which prevented Him from doing so.  All he talked about was growing vegetables in His garden, having pigs and chickens and making a living selling Bar-B-Q.

Sonny had such a fun-loving personality and quick wit.
He was naturally funny and would have tears running down your face from laughing so hard at what he had said.

Sonny had a very strong love for family and friends.  He enjoyed himself most around them.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Jones of Philadelphia, Pa.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Two sons: Brian and Bernard Scott both of Philadelphia, PA; Four sisters: Phyllis Dorn-Morgan of Texas, Sandra Dorn of Philadelphia, PA., Sharon Wooden of Virginia and Darlene Dorn of the home, Sonny also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He will be deeply missed.
