The Life of a Wonderful Lady:  Hazel Hilton Hardy, 71

A private viewing for immediate family ONLY will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, 12:30 PM at the funeral parlor with a public viewing from 1 to 6 PM.

Funeral Services will be:  Sunday, December 30, 2018, 3:00 PM

Roanoke Chapel Missionary Baptist Church

Jackson, NC.

Rev. Dr. Franklin D. Williams, Pastor will deliver the eulogy

Burial will follow in the church cemetery

Ms. Hazel Hilton-Hardy of Garysburg, North Carolina was born on June 14, 1947 in Halifax Township, Halifax County, North Carolina. She was the third of six children born to the late James Manley and Isabelle Hilton Chambliss. Hazel slipped into eternity with her heavenly Father peacefully on December 25, 2018 in her home.

Hazel attended Halifax County Public Schools then transitioned to employment at Halifax Regional Medical Center for many years before retiring to spend time with her family and friends.

Hazel was united in marriage to the late Henry Wilson Hardy, her loving husband, who led the way for his family in showing them that death has no sting and the grave is not the master. Henry and Hazel enjoyed 48 years of wedded bliss.

Hazel leaves to survive, cherish her memories, carry on her legacy and flourish from her love and guidance: Children: Bryant McDaniel and wife Jean of Richmond, VA., Doris Carey and husband Darrell of Raleigh, N.C.; Tammy Marie Reynolds and husband Raymond of Queens, N.Y; Henry J. Hardy and wife Pamela of Knightdale, N.C. and LaKasha Cherrae Hardy of Garysburg, N.C.; Ten Grandchildren; Three Great Grandchildren; Two Siblings: Blondell Rogers and Carolyn Davis both of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; Two Aunts: Dorothy Hilton Boatwright and husband Wilbert of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Annie Hilton Shelton of Brooklyn, New York, a host of Brothers and Sister-In-Laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
