The Life of Hayward Lee Hendricks, 57

Mr. Hayward Lee Hendricks, 57 of 431 Stonewall Dr., Roanoke Rapids, NC, died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his residence.

Hayward Lee Hendricks, the son of the late Cleveland and Narcissus Hendricks, was born on January 20th 1955 in Halifax County, NC.

Cleveland and Narcissus Hendricks and his brother Cleveland Hendricks, Jr. proceded him in death.

He received his education in Halifax County School System. He was employed with the Dollar Wholesale of Weldon, NC for many years until becoming employed at Lowe's Distribution Center, Garysburg, NC. Hayward remained a faithful employee until he was uexpectedly called home.

He was baptized at any early age and later on in life joined Weldon Bible Church, on November 11, 2007.

Hayward was United in Holy Matrimony to his beloved wife Katie Rawls Hendricks on July 10, 1975. Out of that unity they were blessed with two children.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife: Sis. Katie Hendricks of the home; two children: Sonja C. Hendricks and fiance Willie A. Tillery and Ricky Lee Rawls of the home; a daughter Jasmine Daniels of Jackson, NC that he raised as his own; eight grandchildren; six brothers: Charles Hendricks, NYC, NY, Alphoza Hendricks, Roanoke Rapids, NC, James Hendricks and wife Sandra, Elizabeth City, NC, Pastor Lawrence Hendricks and wife Gracie, Halifax, NC, Bruce Hendricks and wife Eula, Bronx, NY and Richard Hendricks of Gaston, NC; three sisters: Catherine King and husband Melvin, Gaston, NC, Ruby Blanks and husband Irvin, Yonkers, NY, and Wanda Hendricks of Greensboro, NC; one aunt: Ida Boyd, Weldon, NC (just made 99 yrs), five Sisters-In-Law, three Brothers-In-Law and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, cousins, friends and church friends.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, May 20th 2012 at 1:00 pm from the Lighthouse of Deliverance Church of Christ No. I, 220 Brance Ave, Roanoke Rapids, NC. Rev. Lawrence Hendricks will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Rawls Memorial Gardens, 582 Burgwyn Rd., Jackson, NC.

At the Family's request...there will be a private immediate (Wife, Children,Grandchildren, Brothers & Sisters and their Spouses, Sisters & Brothers-In-Law and their Spouses---ONLY)family viewing at the funeral parlor Sat. at 12:30 pm. All others may view Mr. Hendricks at funeral.
