The Life of Ms. Frances Gatling-Futrell, 60

Once again the death angel came to Firsthealth Hospice Palliative Care, 251 Campground Road, Pine Hurst, NC to claim Frances Ann Gatling-Futrell, 60 to come and get her heavenly reward on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 around 10:25 PM. Frances was the eighth child born on July 25, 1955 to the late James and Nannie Gaye-Gatling in Jackson, North Carolina.

Frances received her education through the Northampton County Public School System. Later, she received an Associate Degree in Arts from Fayetteville, North Carolina. She furthered her education by receiving a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville, NC.

Frances joined Piney Grove Baptist Church in Jackson, North Carolina at an early age.

She was employed by the Federal Government for 35 plus years.

Frances married John Wilson Futrell and from this union two childen were born--Pamela Ann and John Jamal.

Frances was a kind, loving beautiful compassionate mother. She said what she meant and meant what she said. She was very compassionate about others and always put her children first. Frances was a remarkable woman.

She is preceded in death by one brother: James and a sister: Nannie Elizabeth Gatling.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Her Daughter: Pamela Ann Futrell-Parham and husband Eric of Norfolk, Virginia; One Son: John Jamal Futrell, Jr. and fiance Whitney of Fayetteville, NC; Her grandchldren:
Pasha Patriece Futrell, Eric Donnell Parham, Sr., Iciss Monae Parham, Nevayah Futrell Kennedy. Also her survivors include Two Sisters: Fannie Gatling-Long of Raleigh, NC and Lois Gatling-Booker of Garysburg, NC; Two Brothers: Henry C. Gatling and wife Helen of Gaston, NC and Thomas Gatling of Newport News, VA. and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.

There will be a private viewing for immediate family only Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 12:30 PM, followed with a public viewing from 1 to 6 PM.
