The Life of Mother Eris Squire Webb, 93
Peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at her residence, our beloved, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Niece left this earthly vessel to go to be with the Lord: Eris Squire Webb, 94.
Mother Eris Squire Webb, daughter of the late Edmond and Annie Moody Squire was born in Northampton County, North Carolina on October 23, 1923.
At an early age she became a member of Cool Spring Baptist Church, Gaston, North Carolina and remained a faithful member until her demise.
She was United In Holy Matrimony to the late Stanley Webb in 1943 and God blessed their union with five children. Her husband, two brothers: Norton Squire, Cardie Squire and one sister: Agnes Squire, preceded her in death.
Memories of Mother Eris Squire Webb's Life will remain with her devoted children: Therman Webb of the home, Martha Green and Lillian Williams both of Gaston, NC, Wayne Webb and wife Elizabeth of New Jersey and Doretha Davenport and husband Earl of Gaston, NC. Doretha Davenport was also the caregiver of her Mom and took excellent care of her til the end. Five Grandchildren: Sonia Jean Butcher (a grand-daughter that she raised of Roanoke Rapids, NC; Teresa Underdue and husband Cornell of Garysburg, NC, Kimberley Simmons and husband Brent of Raleigh, NC, Leon Williams and wife Tameka of Knightdale, NC and Dieshia Webb of Gaston, NC; Ten-Great Grandchildren: Shawnae Parker and husband Terry, Zaniaya, Leah and Marquise, Courtney, Caelyn, Collin, Kelcey, Brialyn, Deontree; Three-Great-Great Grandchildren: Teryeja, Tori and Terry Wayne Parker, III; Two Brothers: Irving and Zane Squire both of Gaston, NC; Two special nephews: Tony Squire of Gaston, NC and Robert Sledge of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and many friends.
Mother Eris Squire Webb lived to see her fifth generation.
The remains of Mother Eris Squire Webb will repose in church one hour prior to the funeral.
There will be a private viewing for immediate Family ONLY-Friday, August 4, 2017 at 12:30 PM, followed by a public viewing from 1 to 6 PM at the funeral parlor.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 5, 2017, 12:00 High Noon at Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church, Hwy 46, Gaston, NC 27832, Bishop Wayne I. Welch, Pastor will deliver the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Squire Family Cemetery, Pleasant Hill Road, Gaston, NC.
Floral Bearers will be nieces and Pall Bearers will be nephews.
