The Life Mr. Edward "Sugar Foot" Wilkins, 56

Edward William Wilkins, age 56 son of Josephine Wilkins and the late Edward Lee Wilkins, was born January 1, 1956 in Newport News, VA. He departed his life on Friday morning March 16th 2012 in Bronx Lebanon Hospice Hospital, Bronx, NY.

He was educated in the Northampton County Public School System.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters: Lucretia Wilkins and Danielle Wilkins, both of Rocky Mount, NC; one son: Joseph Myzer, Newport News, VA; his mother: Josephine Wilkins, Newport News, VA; his grandchildren: Jashawn Wilkins, Fred Wilkins, J.B. Boone, Demonique Wilkins, Zaladize Boone, Star Scott and Destiny Scott all of Rocky Mount, NC; five sisters: Edwina Wilkins-Drew and Andrew, Washington, DC, Chander Barber and husband Jeffery, Hampton, VA, Zelva Warren and husband Weldon, Newsport News, VA, LaVerna Ann Williams, Newport News, VA and LaVerne Worsley, New York City, NY; two brothers: Edwin Wilkins and wife Cynthia, Sulfolk, VA and Junius Redcross, Capron, VA, two brothers who preceded him in death: Tyrone Wilkins and Wilbert Redcross; five aunts: Magnolia Graves, Mildred Wilkins both of Newport News, VA, Geneva Gray, Hampton, VA, Susie Wood, Rocky Mount, NC and Emma Eason, Richmond, VA; three uncles: Alvin Wilkins, Oxon Hill, MD, Willie Wilkins, Chicago, IL and Ozzie Wilkins, Roanoke Rapids, NC: the mother of his children: Arlene Wilkins,and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives cousins and friends.

Funeral Arrangements for Mr. Edward Wilkins, will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Tillery Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Tillery, NC at 2:00 pm with Rev. Larry Parker, Pastor of Piney Grove Baptist Church, Sulfolk, VA, delivering the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Wilkins Family Cemetery, Tillery, NC.

There will be a private immediate family viewing at Coleman Funeral Home Friday, March 23, 2012 at 12:30 pm with a public viewing from 1 to 7 pm.
