The Life of Eddie Lawrence "Red Eye" "Honey Boone" Boone, 65
Eddie was born July 27th 1947 in Gumberry, NC to Henry and Mary Wyche-Boone. He departed this earthly life on Tuesday, November 27th 2012, about 4:58 pm in Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
He received his education from the Northampton County Public Schools.
Honey Boone retired after approximately 40-years from Newport News Shipyard, Newport News, VA as a "Rigger".
He loved fishing, walking and socializing at the local community stores in Garysburg, NC. For a number of years he played softball with a local team in Seaboard, NC. He also served as a Back Road Marshall for the Midnight Raiders Motor Cycle Club of Seaboard, NC.
He is preceded in death by his oldest brother: Maryland Boone.
Those left to cherish his fond memories are: four daughters: Cynthia Williams (his caretaker) and husband Stuart John, of Garysburg, NC, Daffinie Branch, Hollister, NC, Veronica Boone and Alicia Boone both of Roanoke Rapids, NC; two sons: Timothy Boone of Oxon Hill, MD and Eddie Boone, Roanoke Rapids, NC; Ten-Grandchildren; his parents: Henry Boone and Mary Wyche-Boone, of Garysburg, NC; four brothers: Henry Boone and wife Joyce of Raleigh, NC, Cleveland Boone, Seaboard, NC, Sherman Boone and wife Roslyn, Garysburg, NC and Minister Carl Boone and wife Valerie of Seaboard, NC; two sisters: Laura B. Rivers and husband Clyde, Halifax, NC and Mary B. Patterson and husband Aubrey, Roanoke Rapids, NC; two uncles: Ralph Wyche and wife Beatrice, Phila., PA and Waverly Wyche and wife Martha, Sharon Hill, Pa; four aunts: Jeanette Porter and husband Clayton, Phila., PA, Helen Person and husband Apostle Alexander, Phila., PA, Rosa Robinson Robinson and India Parker both of Garysburg, NC; a great aunt: Gladys Somerville, Phila., PA; a special friend: Delores Jones, Fairfax, VA and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mr. Boone will be funeralized Sunday, December 2nd 2012 at 2:00 pm at Roanoke Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, Jackson, NC. Rev., Dr. Franklin D. Williams, Jr., The Pastor will officiate.
Burial Will follow in the church Cemetery.
There will be a private immediate family viewing Saturday, December 1st at 12:30 pm, with a public viewing from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the chapel.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the home of his daughter and her husband: Cynthia "Dump" Boone-Williams, Lot #6, West Wynn Trailer Park, Garysburg, NC.
