The Life of Derrick "D. Webb" Webb, 32
On June 3,1979 in Emporia, Virginia, God released one of his precious angels to the care of John Robinson Jr. and the late Delois Webb Robinson. He was named Derrick Terell Webb. Derrick walked this earth and showed love to everyone he came in contact with until God called him home on Wednesday, July 13,2011 at Moses Cones Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Derrick received his education through Northampton County Public Schools, where he graduated from NCHS-West in 1998. Derrick later moved to Durham, North Carolina, where he resided until his death. Derrick was employed with Missing Link Records as the lead member of the Rap Group, Def B4 Dishonor, in which he was highly dedicated until his death.
Derrick was preceded in death by his mother: Delois Webb Robinson; 3 grandparents: Lexie & Clydie Webb and John Dee Robinson; 2 aunts: Bernice Webb Fisher and Pearl Robinson; and 1 uncle: Bruce Robinson.
Derrick leaves to cherish his loving memories, his daughter: De'Keriah Webb; his father: John Robinson Jr.; 3 sisters: Felicia Webb, Tameka Simmons and Tracy Crocker; 2 brothers: Dexter Robinson and Kevin Simmons; extended brothers: Melvin Stokes, Woodrow Lockhart, Reginald & Travis Hardy, Darius Underdue, Antroney Mallory, Def B4 Dishonor and the Missing Link Family; his grandmother: Ernestine Robinson; 3 nieces: Malaysia Jones, Asekywea Williams and Montesha Simmons; 2 nephews: DeMonte Simmons and Jaken Alston; 9 aunts: Clara Robinson, Lassie Webb, Goldie Powell, Maxine Deloatch, Patricia Manning, Denise Davenport, Brenda Judkins, Tina Jones and Thurletta Crawford; 3 uncles: William Seaford, Lexie Webb and Wayne Robinson; a devoted girlfriend: Kellie Scott; a loving godmother: Shirley Seaford; 8 great-aunts 3 great-uncles and a host of cousins & friends.
There will be a private viewing Friday, July 23, 2011 at 12:30 with a public viewing from 1 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Funeral will be held Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 1:00 pm, Northampton County High School-West, 100 Broughton St., Gaston, NC. Minister Gwendolyn Moore, Officiating.
Burial will follow in the Faithful Band Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, NC.
