The Life of Ms. Corine Hendricks,81

Ms, Corine Hendricks, 81 was born on March 8, 1934 to the late John Robert & Isabell Hendricks in Hampton County, Virginia.and expired on Monday, March 9, 2015 in Brooklyn Garden Nursing Home, Brooklyn, New York.

She later moved with her parents to Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina where she was known as the Candy Lady. Corine also know as Pip, had her own Candy Business where she sold lots of candy all over Roanoke Rapids. Everyone knew who she was and would buy from her. Many years later she moved to Brooklyn, New York where she lived with her sister, Arlene Topping until she passed and then stayed with Ella Maria Hendricks (her baby sister), who loved her dearly and took great care of her.

Corine loved: coke cola soda, plain potato chips and potato salad.

She was born the fifth of nine children. Six have preceded her in death: Isiah Hendricks, Vaddie Clark, Barthoelomew Hendricks, Arlene Toppings, John Jr. Hendricks and Isabell Hill.

Corine leaves to mourn; Three Sisters: Susie Huston and husband James Huston, Queens, New York, Ella Maria Hendricks, Brooklyn, New York and Shirley Jean Rice and husband John Rice, Baltimore, Maryland, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other In-Laws and friends.

A viewing and visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Lighthouse of Deliverance Church, Roanoke Rapids, NC. Elder James Easter will be officiating. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Roanoke Rapids, NC.

The funeral cortege(procession) will be leaving 1915 Glover Street, Roanoke Rapids, NC at 9:25 a.m. headed to the church for the viewing.
