This is to certify that Christina Smith, 33, the daughter of James and Betty Smith, was born June 21, 1978 in Roanoke Rapids, NC and departed this earthly life in the presence of her home in Garysburg, NC on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at 3:30 am.
Christina attended and graduate from the Tabernacle Christian School in 1996.
She was employed for many years as a house keeper for Best Western Motel and was known for her love of poetry and cross stitching.
In her teen years she joined the Miracle Tabernacle Church of Deliverance, Weldon, NC.
She lives today and forever in the lives of: her children: Courtney Pitchford and Dorian Pitchford both of the home; her parents: James and Betty Smith both of the home; her special friend: James Williams, Garysburg, NC; her sisters: April Smith, Pleasant Hill, NC and Joyce Phillips, PA; her brothers: James Savage and Mark Savage both of Garysburg, NC, Kenny Smith, Roanoke Rapids, NC, Dan Smith and Calvin Smith both of the home; three nieces and a nephew; six paternal aunts: Dorothy Harris (deceased), Virginia Jones and husband William (deceased), Jackson, NC, Louise Harris and husband James, Darlington, NC, Shirley Pernell and husband Thomas, Jackson, NC, Judy Savage and husband James (deceased), Roanoke Rapids, NC, Daisy Mae and her uncle Joe Rogers both deceased; Her Maternal Grandparents who are now deceased: Mr. Herman Jones and Mrs. Viola Jones; a paternal Grandmother: Mrs. Martha Smith, Whitakers, NC; her paternal aunts: Louise Clark and husband Ned, Durham, NC, Faye and Doris Smith both of Whitakers, NC, Martha Atkinson (deceased), paternal uncles: DAvid Smith and wife Thelma, Scotland Neck, NC and Jessie Smith Whitakers, NC, Haywood Smith (deceased), Gerson Jr. Smith (deceased); her paternal Grand Father: E. Gerson Smith (deceased); many, many, cousins, other In-Laws, friends and church friends.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 9, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Coleman Funeral Home Chapel, 776 Hwy 301 N., Garysburg, NC. Apostle E. L. Ricks will Officiate.
A private immediate family viewing will be held Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 12:30 pm, with a public viewing from 1 to 7 pm.
