The Life of Mr. Cal E. Kee, 71
On February 11, 1943, Cal Estrolion "Puddin" Kee was born in Northampton County, Gumberry, NC to the late Ulysses Grant and Jannie Harrison Kee and entered into eternal rest and peace on August 2, 2014 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
Puddin as he was fondly called accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior and joined Pentecostal Holiness Church, Rocky Mount, NC under the leadership of the late Bishop Elisha C. Whitley, where he remained a member for many years.
He had a passion for doing things with his hands such as working on cars, radios, televisions and etc. He occupation included farming, trucking, and chauffeuring.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters; Dorothy Byrum and Barbara A. Kee, four brothers: Thomas Kee, Ulysses C. Kee, Romie W. Kee and Isaiah Kee.
Those left to cherish the legacy of his memories are his son: Cal Kee Jr., sisters: Overseer Rosa Epps and husband Bishop Arthur, Rocky Mount, NC, Maggie Banks and husband Henry, Gumberry, NC, Elizabeth C. Kee and Josephine K. Easter and husband Bishop William, Garysburg, NC, an aunt: Maggie Scott, Skippers, VA, one uncle: Walter Harrison of New Jersey and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends who will all miss his earthly presence.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 1:00 PM, August 9, 2014 at Roanoke Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Garysburg, NC, Elder James Easter (Lighthouse of Deliverance, Roanoke Rapids, NC) will deliver the Eulogy. Burial will follow in Rising Sun Holiness Church Cemetery, Emporia, VA.
There will be a viewing for immediate family only Friday, August 8, 2014 at 12:30 PM at the funeral parlor. A public viewing will be from 1 to 6 PM.
The funeral cortege will leave the funeral parlor at 12:30 PM. All family members are asked to be at the funeral home at 12:15 PM.
