The Life of Bro. Richard E. Howard, 67
A private viewing for His Children, Grandchildren, Sisters and Brothers will be held Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 12:30 In The Afternoon at the funeral parlor followed by a public viewing from 1 to 6 PM. His children and grandchildren will enter first followed by His siblings. ONLY 10-members are allowed in the facility at a time. We ask that you apply social distancing, view, sign register and depart...THANKS...due to the COVID-19.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, April 22, 2020, 1:00 O'Clock In The Afternoon, Elmwood Cemetery, Franklin Street, Enfield, NC.

It was at the close of the evening on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 the the angel of death called Brother Richard Eugene Howard, 67, of Halifax, NC, to take his flight to glory, in Vidant North Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
Bro. Howard was born in Halifax County, NC to the late Mr. & Mrs. Richard and Susie McGuire Howard. He attended Halifax County Public Schools.
His was united in Holy Matrimony to Mary Parker and to this union four children was born. Later in life they were divorced.
He worked for Carolina Freight in Rocky Mount, NC and later became self employed as a Carpenter.
The love of his life was talking about God, bowling, helping people, telling funny things to make you laugh and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He joined Evangelistic Church of Deliverance under the leadership of the late Bishop William H. Cheek, Sr. and became a member of the Men's Choir for many years.
His fond memories will live forever in the lives of--- His Children: Dwayne Howard, Richard Howard, III and Cassandra Howard and the late Cenchrea Howard, Sixteen Grandchildren and Seven Great-Grandchildren; His Sisters: Barbara Hopkins of Rosedale, MD, Linda Battle of Jackson, NC, Loretta Webb and husband Edwin of Garysburg, NC, Donna Whitaker, Syracuse, NY, Sarah Clark and husband Minister Charlie of Halifax, NC, Sonia White and husband Robert Earl of Whitakers, NC and the Late Vanessa Howard; His Brothers: Roger McGuire of Scotland Neck, NC, Kenny Howard of Richmond, VA, Sammy Howard of Rocky Mount, NC, Jasper Howard of Rocky Mount, NC, Jeffery Howard of Clayton, NC and Ervin Howard of Rocky Mount, NC; many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends.
