Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Cemetery, Smith Church Rd., Roanoke Rapids, NC
The call was made on Thursday, August 9, 2018 for Mrs. Bessie Mae Harris, 67 of New York City, NY to take her final step. Mrs. Harris expired in Lenox Hill Hospital in New York.
Bessie was born June 29, 1951 in Weldon, NC to the late Louvenia and Lonnie Williams.
She attended Ralph J. Bunch High School in Weldon, NC. An adventure she took at the age of 17 was to move to New York. There she met and married the love of her life, Zebedee Harris on December 1972.
The love of her memories will forever be shared with: Her Husband: Zebedee King Harris, Sr. of New York; Six Children: Two Sons: Bobby Harris of Atlanta, GA and Zebedee Harris, Jr. Fort Knox, KY; Four Daughters: Reneae Harris of Brooklyn, NY, Juanita Harris of Riverdale, GA, Leticia Harris of Brooklyn, NY and Sabrina Harris of Bronx, NY; Seventeen Grandchildren: Renita Gomez, Matthew Woods, Keana Harris, Diamond Kee, Saaliha Woods, Melanee Young, Elijah Kellogg, Shawn Eason, Monae Harris, Maleek Harris, Montez Harris, Makel Harris, the late Montrell Harris, Ethan Gittens, Rayshawn M. Walker, Rashonda M. Walker and Rasheena M. Walker; Two Brothers: Walter Williams of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Ricky Williams; A Sister: Theresa Williams of Weldon, NC; many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
