Final Rites for Mother Bertha Marie Kemp, 95, will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2018, 12:00 O'Clock High Noon, Coleman Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Nehemiah Smith, Jr. will deliver the eulogy.
On Tuesday, January 9, 2018, the death angel visited Halifax Regional Medical Center in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina and called Bertha Marie Putney Kemp, 95 to her heavenly home.
Bertha Marie Kemp was born to the late John and Celia Putney on August 15, 1922 in Halifax County, NC.
She had seven brothers and two sisters, all preceded her in death.
She was a great Lady of the Eastern Star of Weldon, NC, and a faith member of Simmons Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Roanoke Rapids, NC.
She was married to the late John King and to this union one daughter was born. Later in life she met and married Authur Kemp, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include: A Daughter; Three Grandchildren; Six Great-Grandchildren; Two god-children; and host of other relatives, cousins, church brothers and sisters and friends.
