The Life of Mr. Amos Lee "Greaseball" Ingram, 63
Brother Amos Lee Ingram of Roanoke Rapids, NC, the son of the late Andrew and Ossie Squire Ingram, was born on April 1, 1951 and departed this earthly life on June 3, 2014 at Halifax Regional Medical Center, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. At an early age, Amos accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and joined the Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church,Gaston, NC.
He is preceded in death by his dearly beloved wife, Toni Ingram (who was his best friend), his mother, father, two sisters: Bobbie Powell and Peggy Tayor; three brother: James Ingram, Andrew Ingram, Jr. and Mark Ingram.
Amos was known by his family and friends as "Greaseball". He received his education through the public schools of Northampton County. Amos was kind and free-hearted with a loving spirit and would give you whatever he had. He loved his whole family dearly and everybody who knew him, knew how much his family meant to him. Amos was always a hard-working man who spent most of his years working as a logger and a farmer until his illness.
He leaves to cherish his memories: five sisters: Shirley Ingram Floyd and Selena Taylor both of Gaston, NC, Marie Manning and husband Bishop Dredy Manning, Viola Short and husband Theodore all of Roanoke Rapids, NC; Annie Squire and husband Henry of Emporia, VA; two brothers: Charles Ingram and wife Jeanette, Willie Ingram and wife Lisa all of Gaston, NC; one Uncle-In-Law; James Moody of Gaston, NC. His special friend, "just like a brother" Ellis C. McGee, Garysburg, NC other special friends: Sharon "Shay" Harvey of Roanoke Rapids, NC,Jerry High, Mr. Robinson, Larry Stanley, David Lewis Squire and Wille Squire and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends. Special honor and recognition to his niece, Cynthia Parker, for being extra supportive in taking him to the doctor and making sure he had all his medicines and anything else he needed.
Funeral Arrangements for our beloved Mr. Amos Lee Ingram, 63 of Gaston will be Monday, June 9, 2014, 1:00 PM at Cool Spring Missionary Baptist Church, Gaston, NC. Bishop Wayne Welch, Pastor and Pastor Ronnie J. Ingram will deliver the Eulogy (Founder & Pastor of Liberation & Divine Healing Outreach Ministries, Enfield, NC). Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
There will be a private immediate family viewing Sunday, June 8, 2014 at 12:30 PM at the funeral parlor. A public viewing will follow from 1 to 6 PM.
