The Life of Alex Lee Lashley, Jr., 52


Alex formerly of Northampton County, NC expired Sunday, March 9, 2014 in St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie, NY. Mr. Lashley was born on November 1, 1962 to the late Alex Lee Lashley, Sr. and the late Annie Pearl Mitchell.

He attended Northampton County Public Schools and later adventured to New York to better himself and went to college.  He was employed at Ulster Green Arc Residential Facility as a Residential Counselor.

Growing up in the Garysburg Area, he was reared by his grandmother the late Nora Lee Mitchell.

He is survived by his wife:  Tina Klein of Catskill, NY; three children:  Lakeem Lashley and wife Elizabeth of Catskill, NY, Rashawn Revis, Roanoke Rapids, NC and Jordan Lashley, Catskill, NY; two lovely grandchildren:  Xariah Lashley and Amiyah Revis; three brothers:  Jeremiah Lashley of Germany, Lamont Lashley and William Lashley both of Albany, NY; three sisters:  Katrina Dempsey of Hudson, NY, Debra Brooks (Deceased) and Gwendolyn Lashley (Deceased); two nieces:  Jaila Lashley and Dominique Lashley; four nephews:  Dwayne Lashley, Jeremain Robinson, Alexander Barnhill and Jamar Barnhill; his aunts:  Gladys Mayo of Garysburg, NC, Lucy Wilburn of Hampton, VA, Mattie Martin of Washington, DC, Curley Whitaker of Baltimore, MD and Rosa Mitchell of Halifax, NC.

A funeral will be held Sunday, March 16, 2014 at 11:00 am at Traver & McCurry Funeral Home, Catskills, NY.
